As a legal firm specialising in Child Protection and Adult Social Care work, we are dedicated to securing the right outcomes for the most vulnerable in our society. Our place within the Commercial Services Group (CSG) portfolio allows us to extend this commitment even further. Being wholly owned by Kent County Council means that all our profits are reinvested into the public sector to enhance front-line services and support those in need in Kent. CSG’s joint venture and partnership models allow us to participate in the generation of further dividends to other communities across the UK, including Hampshire, Luton, Surrey and Dudley.

Inspiring the next generation

We actively participate in school, college and university career events, where we talk to students about legal careers and explore pathways into the legal profession. Our collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) includes offering work experience placements and hosting employability events, to support the development of future legal professionals. We also collaborate with CCCU and Kent Law Society to offer Court Skills training for social workers and law students.

Support for charities

We believe in giving back to the community through year-round fundraising and charity events, including raffles, bake sales, and Christmas Jumper Day, all led by our active Charity Committee. Our chosen charity is Dandelion Time, a Kent-based organisation helping children and families heal from trauma through nature-based therapy. We’re proud to support their work helping young people build resilience and heal from trauma. We also take part in the annual London Legal Walk and other individual challenges like the London Marathon, reflecting our team’s personal commitment to meaningful causes.

Partnership with KFJB

We are proud to be actively involved with the Kent Family Justice Board (KFJB). Our Joint Heads of Child Protection, Helen Osborn and Kirstine Hidalgo-Souto co-chair the board, which brings together key local agencies, including decision-makers and front-line staff, to improve the performance of the family justice system in our region. The KFJB includes members from the judiciary, local authorities, Cafcass, and other key stakeholders. Each member is committed to making significant changes and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families. Invicta Law also hosts the annual KFJB conference, bringing together stakeholders to focus on better outcomes for children and families in Kent.
